Hosted by science journalist Constanza Barrientos, the series covered a wide range of research topics, including insects from Navarino Island, the evolutionary history of penguins, marine invertebrate biodiversity in the Southern Ocean, and the challenges of scientific research and science communication. Some conversations were also linked to relevant international observances, such as World Penguin Day and the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
The initiative provided an opportunity to explore the potential of live broadcasts as a science communication tool, creating a space for direct interaction throughout 2024 where audiences not only gained access to scientific content but could also share their questions and engage in dialogue with those conducting Antarctic and Subantarctic research.
