The work of our science outreach facilitators plays a key role in transforming Antarctic and Subantarctic research into engaging, participatory, and accessible experiences for the public. Through activities such as augmented reality experiences, biodiversity and Antarctic myth quizzes, interactive games, photographic exhibitions, educational worksheets, coloring pages, and other science communication initiatives, they encourage learning through dialogue and the active participation of children, young people, and adults.
These initiatives have been carried out continuously since 2022 and are part of the work developed under the CIGA-UMAG Institutional Antarctic Seal 2023–2024 certification, strengthening public engagement with science through the BASE Millennium Institute.
